Los bancos y banqueros colombianos (Superbancaria incluída), son unos ladrones. Abrir lo que llaman una cuenta de ahorros, es desahorrar la platica que se metió al banco. Es imposible vivir sin una cuenta, pues entonces nadie nos paga.

Pagan intereses del 2% anual... y cuando prestan cobran más o menos el 1.8% mensual.

Abrir una cuenta implica los siguientes costos escondidos:

* $6,000 o más mensuales por el "manejo" de la cuenta. Es decir que toca mantener un promedio de unos $3.5 millones al año sólo para no perder plata con las tales cuotas de manejo.

Parece que Nando abandonó este blog. Anda como con pereza de escribir mucho en él y como ocupado con el trabajo de consultoría. Si todavía queda algún lector, trataré de seguir con los desvaríos.

It seems I have abandoned this blog. Laziness and a lot of work in my consulting job have led to that. If there are still any readers I will make an effort and keep writing nonsense here.

Since I wrote that post about the boy who casts spells movie, I've been getting spam to moderate on my blog. Only on that post... If it continues I'll have to remove it. Do people actually think that is a valid marketing strategy or they do it just to annoy us with their porn ads?

Cada vez más a menudo, alguien, mi padre (o hasta mi hermana) me dicen que debo dejar de fumar. Todos los días, o cada dos días mi padre hace su comentario con voz de tragedia... el efecto... como cuando a un niño le dicen que no toque algo: cualquier mínima idea acerca de dejar de fumar que tenía se desvanece en el aire.

I'm on my way the first day of the thingy with the universities. Other people will present today and I will just listen, mingle and work on my own presentation in the mean time. I do hope there is wireless in the hotel auditorium... if there is, I will be online... amuse me (IM me)... the presentations won't be the highlight of my day!

EDIT:
There is a wireless network at the hotel, but I had to pay for it... $10,000 for 3 hours. I'll be online intermitently.

I went to a meeting this morning, innocently expecting to just listen, and Rosario just threw me in ("me echó al agua"... what's the English equivalent of that?) saying I am the new member of the team, who will work on building networked communities of practice... I just said... "OK" and introduced myself to the audience. I think I'll start in January.
