Reloj, tablero, perchero
Uno de mis primeros proyectos (el primero fue el banco que todavía uso), al tiempo que hacía el primer curso en la EAOSD, fue este reloj-perchero-tablero.
Primer curso: Carpintería básica manual
En marzo de 2012, terminé mi primer curso de Carpintería en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios Santo Domingo, con el maestro Salvador Bohórquez, César y un grupo muy divertido de compañeros. Hicimos una mesita completamente a mano (excepto por unos ratos de lijadora orbital).

Psycopg on Mac OS 10.8 with Python 2.7 and Postgresql 9.2
I don't have time for a full tutorial, but here is how I managed, after weeks of trying without luck, to get Psycopg2 to work with Python 2.7.3 and PostgreSQL 9.2 on Mac OS 10.8, Mountain Lion.
The problem I was having, after installing Psycopg using python setup.py install was related to this error when running import psycopg2 from a Python shell. Symbol not found: _PQbackendPID.
This fixed it:

Starting my first MOOC experience
I have to confess I started off a few weeks back with some curiosity and not very much motivation. I found out about a new Massive Open Online Course called Change: Education, Learning, and Technology and thought it was worth checking out. I'd heard quite a bit about other MOOCs and well... it's my area, I have to understand the idea less superficially.
Pottermore, first quick impressions (a few spoilers)
Early access to J.K Rowling, WB, and Sony's Pottermore started last week for those first lucky million who won a golden ticket in the Quick Quill Challenge. I was among the lucky few who got into the beta through the Challenge, and got my "Hogwarts letter" on the 19th.
Reviví mi PS3
My PS3 died, the dreaded YLoD. I found a couple good guides online to fix it, got the tools and materials and did the whole reflow thing... and it worked! (See full post for links to the guides).
My PS3 murió el fin de semana. El temido YLoD (Yellow Lead of Death). Encontré buenas guías en línea, conseguí las herramientas y materiales (pistola de calor y pasta térmica), seguí las instrucciones y... ¡funcionó! (Ver la entrada completa para la lista de recursos online).
